Juicy Couture releases portable USB keyboard

Image
Guys, if you ever wanted to buy your female significant other an electronic device as a gift, this is the one you’d be most likely to get away with. First I’d make sure that they aren’t anti-pink though. This keyboard not only has a very feminine look through the bubblegum pink color and the the pretty lettering, but it also is a Juicy Couture product. Giving them a chance to flaunt their female side and show off their love of brand name products. Normally I’m really not all that fond of pink electronics or wearing anything Juicy Couture, but for some unknown reason I find this keyboard charming and even fun. The flexible rubber USB keyboard is built for easy transport. Just roll it up and pack it away, you won’t have to worry about this breaking. The only two things I really wish I could change is that it’d be nice to have the option to choose a different color and, of course, the price. No, $45 isn’t too bad, but it would be nice if it was just a little cheaper.

LG enV Touch VX11000

Image
Just after introducing the Voyager in 2007, the manufacturers have come up with LG enV Touch VX11000 – a non-smartphone incorporating a full touch-sensitive display, along with internal QWERTY keyboard. The proposed name “Voyager 2” was retired, as this new model has notable improvements such as – two large 3” WVGA displays; improved user interface; quality of calls; and 3 megapixels autofocus camera. At the very first look of it, you can easily identify that this new handset is an upgrade from the Voyager, though both have many similar characteristics in design – clamshell form-factor with 2-stop hinges. Unlike the Voyager, the display takes more space in the front; pewter chrome accents surrounding and not shiny and reflective as the mirror chrome. The soft-touch coating remains still in the backside. The size of the handset is - 4.52 x 2.16 x 0.66 inches (115 x 55 x 17 mm). The external 3 inches resistive touchscreen display is quite impressive, which has WVGA 800 x 480 pixel resol...

Image

Dustbot Trash Collector

Image
Co-funded by the European Commission, the Dustbot is a US$3.9 million project that aims to create a moderately-sized trash collector robot that can navigate through narrow streets that huge garbage trucks can’t reach. The Dustbot can also analyze the quality of the surrounding air using its sensors to measure the amount of pollutants like sulfur oxide, benzene, ozone, and nitrogen oxide. I hope that the Dustbot will be equipped with a self defense system that can protect itself from thieves who want to steal this expensive robot. Video after the jump.

Nokia 3720 Classic Announced As The ‘Toughest’ Phone

Image
Nokia have pronounced the word ‘tough’ quite rarely in the past, though most of their phones are renowned as ‘indestructibles’. Well, they haven’t done it this time either, though they substitute it for a bolder adjective, ‘rugged’. The Nokia 3720 Classic is out to dare all the other phones in the circuit including the Land Rover phone that we saw sometime back. The phone is said to be ‘leak proof’ with the cover of the battery chamber actually screwed to the body of the phone. I’m really apprehensive to get the first glimpse and review of this phone, and some added strain test results. The other features of the phone include a 1 GB microSD card, 2.2 inch display screen (no news on the toughness of this), LED flashlight and the usual goodies that come with such phones. I hope that there’s a camera that they forgot to mention.

LG GB130

Image
Coming off that epic BL40 tease, it's hard to take something from the same company that looks like this very seriously -- but hey, you've got to cover every market segment to be a global top-five manufacturer, and that's exactly how LG rolls. The GB130 is an ultra-simple slider destined for the Russian market, featuring a 2-inch screen at 160 x 120 resolution, an integrated FM radio (conveniently accessed via a dedicated button), and 6.5 claimed hours of talk time. Look for it on your next trip to Moscow for 2,990 rubles (about $91).

T-Mobile UK lands LG GT500 as an exclusive

Image
Want a peek at a phone you'll almost certainly never have the opportunity to own? Look no further than T-Mobile UK for the GT500 from LG where the well-equipped HSDPA full touch handset that we've been tracking for a while now is apparently now shipping. Headlining features include a 5 megapixel cam with image stabilization, AGPS, tethering capability, 130MB of onboard storage, and microSD expansion (though really, what phone in 2009 doesn't have a microSD slot besides the Pre, the iPhone, and a weird Pantech here and there?). Rumors persist that this might eventually show up on Rogers, so one way or another, you're probably going to have to end up in a Commonwealth nation if you want this thing badly enough.

Toshiba A600-14C

Image
Glancing at its spec-sheet, Toshiba's Portégé A600-14C reads like any mobile business user's dream: a 12.1in laptop with integrated 3G/HSDPA that weighs less than a kilo and a half, all without breaking the bank. We're still rather impressed following Toshiba's awesome NB200-10Z netbook, so let's see if the A600-14C can uphold the imposing pedigree. One thing you might notice about the A600-14C is that, despite its light weight, at 29.9mm it is rather thick - especially when compared to the svelte Toshiba Portégé R600. It's still a fairly nice-looking machine for its sector, but if you want a stylish 12.1in business laptop you're better off with the (admittedly more expensive) Dell Latitude E4200. When closed, the A600 shows off the chromed and indented Toshiba logo on its lid, which complements the machine's overall semi-matte silver finish rather well. Thanks to its LED-backlit screen, the lid is very thin at less than half a centimetre. It is also sli...
